Radio Orphans Podcast can be found on:

your itunes player and click on podcasts and search for Radio Orphans Podcast 93.

Or try this link: http://radioorphans.blogspot.com/

Take a listen to the entire podcast it's 30:00 minutes long.  My song is at the very end of the show, but well worth it. They say some great things about every artist on there which is nice to spread the love all around.

There were a lot of visitors on my myspace music page today too. I went to a nice get together after work tonight and enjoyed it a lot.

Time for some sleep, I've got work all day tomorrow and then off on Sunday.

Good night!

The weekend is coming and I'll be taking a few days siesta and chilling with my friends from college.  It will be a nice change of pace.  March Madness is rocking and rolling! I'm loving all the excitement and upsets.

What else is going on?

I'm in the process of promoting my music a little bit more and my friend is helping me with this. I'm going to contact another person who manages another local artist and see if she can help me a little bit too.

Radio ideas are coming along just fine,  I'm learning more and more about podcasting, satellite radio. Both are the waves of the future(they probably already are) all cars usually come with satellite radio now.

Time to finish up a few errands and then head off for an enjoyable weekend!

Weekend Plans

My cousin and Aunt are in town for the weekend and it's been wonderful being able to visit with them. The Cardinals won the world series and the Detroit Tigers did not. I went to spin class this morning and saw the hot boy from France :) We're getting together next week and we'll see what happens from there. Anyways he's hot and everytime I talk to him it's like hello kiss me already lol! Anyways... Onto more important things such as not working this weekend and enjoying the sunshine and outside too. I learned how to do balloons and another girl and I worked on 18 balloons and got them all done with one popping lol! ;) Well.. that was a learning experience in itself and one of the head clerks smiled and said: "Hey you're learning something new." The Other one smiled and said that more of the courtesy clerks need to learn how to do it, which should help out the overall flow of the store. After all of what happened this week at work, I'm going to look for another job something that's more higher paying and not such weird hours. Off to more important things today... Ciao!

The Middle of the Week

It's Wednesday and work was slower than molassess. I worked on a lot of returns today and it felt nice to take a break from bagging groceries. Two of the girls kept getting in trouble cause they were talking too much at work. I pulled too many carts today and thus strained my back for the fourth time in three weeks. I got a run and workout in today and it felt refreshing and rejuvenated. Life is wonderful and this is what my horoscope said today: "Find the playful side to your spirit. You've been doing a lot of heavy lifting at home and on the job; it's time to do something absolutely silly and totally joyful. Play on the swings. Yodel at the top of your lungs." I certainly have found that a balance in my life where I'm happy and sort of in love at the moment. Fall is certainly is in the air and I'm going to start wearing my tie and long sleeve shirt to work. There's always cliches at work and I've seemed to form my own which only consists of a few people :) Time for some guitar playing and then off to bed.

Oct. 24th, 2006

What a day...

We got slammed at 5pm. I was about to hyperventalate, but thank goodness my friends calmed me down. Work is work and that's how it goes. It's interesting to see what goes on sometimes and then ya realize oh heck I'm doing way too much. I did way too much today. Why? sometimes Mondays are that way in the grocery/retail industry. I ran and worked out this morning and tomorrow is my short shift! yippee!! I'm very excited cause I need it a lot. Time for some guitar playing and then bed. The world series is tied 1-1 :)

Oct. 22nd, 2006

Highlights from today...

My sister and I went to Target and bought a few things for her and my mom. Then, we jetted over to Bel Air and bought a few things and talked to two of my friends. What's reassuring is that everything will be alright. I'm comfortable getting caught up, paying my bills, saving money to move. I've started running and playing my guitar again. This is very good therapy cause I can get frustrated at work sometimes, but a lot of people look out for me. I appreciate their support. Well.. off to bed.. time for another week at work...

First and foremost...

I filled in today for the owner at my gym that I work out at and enjoyed greeting people and making sure that they log in okay.  Plus, if people wanted their protein or energy drinks, all is I had to do is scan the thing, type in the amount and give them their change.

It takes some getitng used to, but she wants me to fill in more whenever possible. I picked up yet another job besides my coffee shop job and my new job that I'm starting training for this week.

Everything else is going well.

Now it's time for me to revamp my radio broadcasting career too. I know my life will get even more hectic, but in a year, I know I'll be able to move out and live on my own(that's what i said the year before, but now that I have more than one job, I will make it happen)

And I'm the type that likes to be on top of things and not let anything pass me by.

Onto more fun adventures.

Something Special :)

My week is going great and in about two weeks, I'm going on siesta.  Thank goodness! I need it. I've been applying to various jobs and did so again today.  The Storm play the Mercury tonight in Phoenix.  Should be a great game, I'll get home at 7pm so I'll miss the first half probably or maybe first quarter. Oy vey...

Other than, I'm at the Library cause they finally have WiFi!! woohoo! It's about time they get with the times. I've been keeping busy this summer too with running, working out and everything else.

Well.. .I'm going to go now.

Later Peeps!

Sweet!!! The Storm crushed the Liberty last night 86-66 woohoo!!!  L J and JB dominated the first and second half and the bench did great too.  Next up is the Connecticut Sun who play the Monarchs this afternoon at Arco Arena.

My review of Fiddler on the Roof is this: Amazing!! It did last three hours, but worth the wait to see it.  Ron Orbach played the main character Telve or however you spell it.  He did a fantastic job.

I am going to hang out with my sisters this afternoon which will help me out tremendously.

I heart the Seattle Storm team woohoo!

I bought the new Cheyenne Cd cause she writes her own songs and produced a couple of them on her album and it means more to buy an album that has songs that the artist wrote, and gives most people more of a personal touch so that they can relate to the songs.

The Baseball All-Star game I am not interested in at the moment.  Sure I watched a few seconds of the home run derby, but  again sometimes baseball leads to boredom.

I played my guitar today and worked on a few more songs, I heard my friend on the radio and he sounded great as ever!!

Life is good.

I feel like punching a boxing bag right now...

My future and much more...

From my horoscope reading from yesterday: "Get ready for more time in the public eye. People will be taking notice of you now." There's a news conference today with Rick Adelman around 2pm PDST at the Kings training complex to answer questions regarding his dismissal as the Kings coach. A few possible candidates from yesterday's sports talk 1140 am radio show with Grant and Mike, but also Channel 13's Tony Lopez's report: Terry Porter,P.J. Carlismao,Vlade Divac(This came out of left field and he would be a wonderful candidate for the job since he played for the kings) The job search has been hot! and it is about to get hotter by next week too. Ciao!

May. 9th, 2006

I had a feeling he didn't want to come back...

Here is a quote from The Sacramento Kings Beat Email Newsletter:

I want to thank Rick personally and professionally for his hard work and determination. He leaves as the winningest coach in Sacramento Kings history. My respect and admiration for him as a coach remains undiminished.-Geoff Petrie

I had a feeling Adelman did not want to renew his contract. The Adelman era has ended and  a new chapter in Kings basketball is beginning.

My Fantasy List of Candidates for the Job:

Terry Porter(I heard he was looking into buying the Portland Trailblazers, he was a Kings assistant for a few seasons)
Mitch Richmond(Former Sacramento Kings Player and now working with the Golden State Warriors)
Michael Jordan(it's a possibility, but I'm not sure it will happen)
Dan Marjle(This would be a great candidate)
Paul Westphaul(Former Phoenix Suns Coach and Pepperdine University Coach)
Danny Ainge(He's too busy running things for the Boston Celtics I doubt he would be interested)

More high and low lights from this weeks crazy adventures at the radio station:

      • The boards ran over and under, but finally everything was normal.
      • Reworking my work schedule
      • Finding a new perspective on life!
      • learning the hard way
      • Going for future goals that I already have my sights set on.

Ladies and gentlemen next item is a  brief commentary provided to you by the daily ramblings of a radio board operator:

Another one bites the dust! This week has not been pleasant, but besides the point I'm going to have to cut back my work hours to just three days a week: Sat, Sun, Mon which would work out alright. When your on a roll you have to stop and rethink your next move on that checker or chess board.   Learning is an everyday process that is important to each of us. Life can pull you in different directions and that's what this week did to me, but I overcomed it.

While all these obstacles have been placed in front of me and I will overcome them and succeed.

As Michael Jordan stated: Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

This quote inspires me in different ways to just keep going and never give up.

That's simple as ever! Working in the city is wonderful.  Started out a bit hectic and now it's relaxing :)

This is the remix...

Another couple of hours and tonight is going to rock! I got my free ticket to the radio event this evening. The boards ran way over today and finally the gaps went down. Today's quote belongs to my other friend who's a board operator here: Me: "This is my first radio event." My friend: "you're funny and modest." Ciao!

A relaxed low key day.

Today was my last day of rehab and I am now on my own which is really nice. I've started slowly transiting back into a regular exercise routine. I hit the gym this morning and dang did I miss working out. It's a great feeling. I got this awesome Cd from my friend's birthday celebration and dang it was hilariously funny. I enjoyed all the songs on it.

Congratulations to Maryland for winning the 2006 NCAA D-1 Title against Duke.

Favorite quote from a song I heard today on a cd:  "I want to live like common people.."

I better get started on my speech outline or else it will never get done.

I recieved a note from my radio broadcasting teacher letting me know about Thursday which was good to get the information and confirm everything.

I'll try to get on one of the DJ's shows maybe if I can come on a for a few moments.

As always I'm chilling...
